Making a Murderer came in on a storm of recommendations and insistent family friends saying we'd get hooked. My girlfriend and I were skeptical. It was a TV show being called "addicting" and "shocking." Right, I rolled my eyes, these are what everyone says about new TV shows.

Coming of Age in the Apocalypse: Shaun of the Dead
Welcome Readers,
Before getting into today’s post I wanted to make sure a few things are clear. This post presumes that you have watched Edgar Wright’s Shaun of the Dead. There will be SPOILERS throughout the post, and I recommend you watch the film as it is one of the best comedies ever made.
The other thing is that this will be a mixture of plot analysis and psychological criticism, presuming the character of Shaun as viewpoint for many of the films scenes and camera views. I feel the post details how and why pretty well.
Now, with that said, we can begin.

Film Gush: The Force Awakened is the sequel 32 years in the making
History is decided in the future... but excitement happens right now.
-------
Directed by; J. J. Abrams
Written by: Lawrence Kasden, J.J. Abrams, Michael Arndt
Starring: Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Harrison Ford, Oscar Isaac, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill
Gush
This isn't a review. It's a gush. A gush for this film which has invaded my bones, eradicated my sleepiness from seeing it at 2:30 in the morning, and delivered a film that people have wanted since 1983. A film that has left me reeling from the pure excitement of just seeing a Star Wars film that I can proudly call Star Wars (as opposed to someone handing it, insisting that it is a Star Wars film).

Star Wars: The Force Awakens - A Prediction Before Viewing
So if you haven't noticed, there's a new Star Wars film coming out with amazing trailers that look awesome. However, as someone who thoroughly doesn't trust trailers anymore, none of this makes me think that I'm going to see an amazing film Thursday Night (stay tuned for the review!!)
Although I really hope so.

Film Review: Krampus (2015)
Directed by: Michael Dougherty
Written by: Todd Casey, Michael Dougherty, Zach Shields
Starring: Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner, Allison Tolman, Conchata Ferrell, Emjay Anthony, Stefania LaVie Owen, Krista Stadler
If you're like me, you saw the trailer to Krampus and rolled your eyes. The idea of a Christmas horror film is as done to death as every other type of Christmas film. I still remember being a small child in a few video rental stores back in the day, glancing up at the cover of Jack Frost (the slasher flick, not the dead dad movie) and thinking about how silly it looked.

Welcome to the New Blog Platform
Hello Readers,
My name is Jeff Degginger, and this is Expository Conundrum, a blog for Video Games, Movies, Music and whatever I'm forgetting in between.
If this is your first time, welcome. At the moment I irregularly publish critical posts about the above topics. Hopefully, in the future, I will make a set schedule around posting such content, there's a Death Note series analysis that's been on and off for a while, as well as some other projects I've been wanting to do. So hopefully those all develop nicely.
If this isn't your first time, well, you're probably wondering why you're being linked to a new website. To put it simply there were some early design decisions I made on the WordPress site that made it generally a bit unappealing. Then WordPress went and flipped the paywall switch to make any meaningful changes to the website, so I decided to take flight and land on Blogger. What this means for you as reader is just throwing this bookmark in and deleting the other one. All of the archives from the old site will be moved to this one in time, and maybe with some improvements or edits throw in (talk about a project all in and of itself).
The other thing to note (hey, new readers, you too) is that the Blog has official Twitter and Facebook accounts now. Click on those links to get there and make yourself fresh. That will be the easiest way to ensure you never miss a post, and why would you want to do that?
So stick around if you're new, and some exciting stuff will be posted over the course of the next few days (all old stuff, but still fun and exciting!) and if you're old maybe you haven't seen everything yet, I don't know, there were nearly sixty posts on the old blog when it was all said and done.
Thanks for the support! I'll be back with new content soon(ish).
